A songstress all her life, Shannon began performing professionally with the six piece variety band "New News" in the early 1990's, traveling widely within the Gulf Coast region. With mastery of a broad repertoire of music from all genres combined with an impressive vocal range she received numerous opportunities to perform at weddings, Coffee Houses, Night Clubs, churches, Ordination Ceremonies, private concerts, holiday programs, and special events.

Shannon continued to expand her artistic expression by pursuing stage performance and acting training from Sandra Zimmer of the Self Expression Center and vocal training from Ann Alexander and Debbie Beinhorn.

With the dawning of the new millennia, Shannon began to focus her talents in support of the burgeoning “Human Potential and Self Actualization” movements (which she has been a part of for the past 20 years), devoting her time to music that heals and inspires as well as entertains.

Shannon frequently speaks and sings in Sunday services, conferences, and private settings in Houston and across the USA in addition to offering workshops on Singing Meditation, The Harmonics of Sound Color and Vibration, and various meditation exercises. She has served as vocalist and music director for Religious Science and Unity churches and featured performer for Wednesday night services at the First Church of Divine Science, in Houston Texas. Currently she serves as Artist-in-Residence for Unity Circle of Light and is the featured vocalist for the West Houston Theosophical Society. She is also the Founder of the New Thought Music Alliance, a national networking, education, and support organization dedicated to expanding New Thought Music.

In 2004, Shannon released a CD featuring three singles widely requested by audiences. She is currently in production with a full length CD of all original music.
